Dear Lene and Hanne, I am very shocked to find out that Norman is not alive anymore. I met him on the Camino in 2018 summer. A truly dearly open-minded person. At first I wasn’t sure why he was interested in talking to me and kept some distance. But then he was simply curious and would like to have some company. We walked the last 100 km together and had very good conversations. He shared his grief about losing his beloved wife with me, and me about my breakup at that time. Norman helped me a lot as an experienced pilgrim. It was nice memories with him. We still had a few contact until 2020. Recently I moved to Flensburg, which was also part of Denmark, and I just learned a bit danish. Then I thought about my first contact to Denmark was Norman, the humorous, funny and warming Norman. I am really sad to know that he’s gone at a relative young age. May he rest in peace in the arms of god. And I am very very thankful for the good memories with Norman.
