In Memory of John John was an extraordinary person and an outstanding scientist. He had a unique ability to bring people together, uniting them through shared interests and common goals. His great sense of humor was truly his superpower, brightening the lives of everyone around him. Among his many accomplishments, one of his proudest achievements was the countless young scientists he supported, encouraged, and inspired to follow his lead in the field of interdisciplinary agricultural sciences. I was fortunate to be one of them, and I will miss him deeply. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
