Kære Jan. Prøver via denne vej at kondolere med Charlotte. Jeg var gift med Allan Madsen, kollega til Charlotte. Jeg ved han respekterede hende højt. Jeg selv husker en fantastisk fin tale hun holdt, da Allan holdt 40 års jubilæum på uni. Allan blev syg og døde juli 22. Jeg sender dig og børnene mange tanker og jeg har altid godt kunne li Charlotte. Mærkeligt de nu er væk. Mange tanker og hilsner fra Ann Jacobi

We want to offer you, Jan, our condolences and heartfelt sympathy, and to extend these thoughts and feelings to Charlotte's children and their families, to her sister and to all of her closer friends. Charlotte had such a sharp mind, such a wry sense of humour, such courage in her life choices and dignity in her illness. We particularly remember her helpfulness to us when our first child arrived.
